Methodology

The AI tools we used were provided with detailed prompts that established the decision-making criteria: scale of impact, longevity of impact, structural change, societal change, environmental change, and economic impact. To aid in contextualization, comparisons across business/economy, culture/society, politics/governance, and technology/science were incorporated into the prompts.

The selection of AI's Human of the Year is solely focused on influence and significance and does not involve moral or ethical judgments. Additionally, only actions and achievements from the calendar year are considered, excluding previous work or accomplishments.
